Eggplant

PLANTING: Start seeds in early April or 8 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Place seeds in Jiffy 7's or
in flats with insert with a good soil substitute, like Berger BM-2. Plants seeds 1/4" deep. Germinate at 80F until
emerge. After emerge, reduce temperature to 70F. Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost is past & soil has
warmed up. Space plants 18-20" apart in row. Control insects with insecticide. Hi-yield Garden & pet dust
works fine in a garden for this. HARVEST; Clip fruit stem with a knife or small pruning shear when desired
size is reached. Pick regularly to encourage future fruit set. PKT size; F1 or hybrid 25 seeds rest about 1/8 oz.

76 days. Hybrid. Oval shaped fruit is of good size and shape. Glossy, purple fruit. Plants are upright, vigorous
and produce high yields of high quality fruits all season long. Treated seed.

FLORIDA MARKET
90 days 30-38" tall plants produce glossy, dark purple to black 9 1/2" fruit with no stem end. Almost
resistant to sunscald. Very prolific. Untreated

LONG PURPLE
80 days. Long club shaped fruit is a dark green. Fruit is 2 1/2" x 8-10", firm with mild flesh. An Italian type
eggplant with 4 or more fruits per 20-38" tall plant. Yields well in the north. Untreated

LOUISANA LONG GREEN
90 days. Prolific plants with well shaped 8 inch long fruit. Light green fruit are meaty, mild, and have no bitterness.
Excellent for use in stir fry and other Asian cuisine. 30" plants. Untreated seed.

ROSIA BIANCE
80 days. Italian heirloom, medium sized 5-8" oval stunning light pink fruits with occasional creamy white shading.
Fruits are large, meaty, mild flavored with no bitterness. Untreated seed.

WHITE STAR F1
55 days. One of the best hybrid eggplants on the market. White Star can be either used as a white baby eggplant
or grown to full maturit for a lovely tear drop shaped glossy white fruit. Very early maturing. Untreated seed.
