High tunnels work great for getting a jump stat on early crops such as tomatoes and strawberries. No electric needed. Packages includes: single layer, 6 mil 4 year poly (4 yrs against sunlight deterioration), C-channels w/stainless steel spring wire, drop curtain along with mounting hardware & winches, 3 rows 1.315″ 14 gauge galvanized purlins, 2 3/8″ dia. 14 gauge galvanized arches and 13 gauge ground stakes. These units are built to order so they can be customized to fit your needs. MCS Tuff high tunnels are one of the strongest built on the market. The kits that we sell offer extras that usually aren’t sold withh other kits. An easy to understand instruction manual is included when we deliver or you pick up the unit. If you run into a snag while building, feel free to contact us and we will walk you through the problem. High tunnel warranty is limited to manufacturing defects. If you build this structure like we recommend then there shouldn’t be any problems with the structure other than the usual wear & tear that building receive during their lifespan.

We are the original retailer of Zimmerman high tunnels. We still sell the Zimmerman high tunnel except that we have refined some of the parts that hold it together. We have added extra parts so that you do not have to buy anything extra except your tools. We are MCS Tuff High Tunnels and Greenhouses.
NRCS approved MCS Tuff high tunnels are one of the heaviest on the market. The kits include many features that are extra on other tunnels or not available. Easy to understand instructions are included along with a phone number for help.

Description

NRCS EQIP approved kits

Basic kit includes: bows, 12′ cross braces on 30′ or wider, purlins, plastic, and misc. hardware. You will need baseboards, hipboards, and end wall construction material . Endwall covering is provided.

Treated and Organic kits come with all lumber and everything needed except labor and tools.

Steel kit is a Basic kit that comes with the steel for hip boards and base boards. It will have greenhouse covering on the end walls.

Polycarbonate is the Steel kit with polycarbonate end wall covering.

All tunnels are available with a ridge vent option. It allows your hot, moist air to naturally vent out the top of your tunnel.

Steel Doors

The steel doors that we offer are made from 1 1/2″ square tubing and covered with 8 mil double walled poly carbonate. They come with hinges attached so that they are ready to hang.

Optional Double Layer Poly

Add a second layer of plastic on your tunnel and inflate it and it will increase your temperature in cold weather by 2-3 degrees and it will eliminate loose, flopping plastic which means longer roof life. Comes with poly blower and mounting bracket.

Trusses

All the bolts, connectors, and metal to turn your normal bow into a W-Truss. May be done on every bow or every other. Count the number of total bows and subtract 2 to get the quantity needed or the inside exposed bows. You may choose to do every other one.
