ECHINACEA Perennial Seeds can be started indoors or can be planted outdoors in the fall. Indoors seeds germinate most readily if first stratified. To stratify seeds keep seed moist and refrigerate for 7-10 days. After seed has been stratified, place seeds in 4 1/2″ pots &
cover lightly. Germinate at room temperature. After transplanting
plants outdoors, space plants 8-12″ apart. To plant seeds
outdoors it is best to sow in the fall or early spring in a cold frame.
A dual purpose plant. Can be used as a lower or as a herb. Purpurea is the most popular of all the Echinacea. 24-36″ tall plant produces large, purple petal blooms. Can be grown in full sun or part shade.
