I love Big Beef, the only beef steak I grow , I’m a hobby grower…it has been very reliable tomato in my backyard homemade NFT hydroponic system, I grow for family, friends and neighbors most I only see during tomato season…the flavor is amazing…I live in humid Florida, I have had very few leaf issues and fruit very rarely splits even with our summer rains…

I tried Big Beef tomatoes this year and were the only variety that could ever replace Better boy as my #1 choice of hybrid tomatoes after recommending better boys forever. The difference was similar disease resistance but just slightly smaller tomatoes…..but twice as many tomatoes which was fine with me because they were ripening faster which meant less time for pests to find them first!

Big Beef is the tomato I recommend to my friends just starting out in gardening. They will grow in any type of soil, are incredibly productive and are quite tasty as well. There are better tasting tomatoes out there for sure. But you will be hard pressed to find a more consistent tomato that delivers as well as this one.
